MPRS-TP PhD Program Scholarship 2025: The International Max Planck Research School for Translational Psychiatry (IMPRS-TP) invites applications for its 2025 PhD program. This fully funded opportunity is open to PhD students from all over the world with a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field or a medical degree. Based in Munich, Germany, the program offers a unique interdisciplinary research environment with access to world-class facilities.

Eligibility/Qualification:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field or a medical degree (MD)
• Special support is given to assistant doctors with laboratory experience
• Candidates should be fluent in English

Job description:
PhD students will conduct cutting-edge research in translational psychiatry and work closely with leading scientists at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry. Applicants are expected to:

• Submit academic documents (high school diploma, bachelor’s and master’s certificates)
• Write two short essays describing your previous research experience and your motivation for participating in the IMPRS-TP program, including your research goals.
• Select up to three research groups that interest you and describe your specific research interests

Successful candidates will undergo a selection process with multiple assessments and interviews, which may also include online or in-person meetings at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry. Final admission will be based on candidates’ assignment to Principal Investigators (PIs) interested in recruiting them.
