Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A Ph.D. degree (or close to completion) in Environmental sciences, atmospheric or climate sciences, hydrology or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Novel gas exchange measurement techniques (experience with eddy covariance is an advantage).
  • Mechanistic modelling of land-climate interactions.
  • Excellent track record, as selected candidates are nominated as international “talents”.
  • Applicants must not have previously studied or worked in Germany.

Job description:

The successful candidate will engage in high-level research focusing on biosphere-atmosphere interactions. The research will involve advanced techniques and modelling to understand land-climate interactions, thereby contributing to our understanding of environmental and climate science. The candidate will be part of a dynamic team, work closely with experts in the field and have access to state-of-the-art facilities at the University of Münster.
