Format Painter is coming to PowerPoint and Word for iPad

Hello, Microsoft 365 Insiders! We’re Ekta Dwivedy and Saloni Bansal, Product Managers on the PowerPoint and Word teams (respectively), and we’re excited to announce that Format Painter is coming to PowerPoint and Word for iPad!

Format Copyer for PowerPoint and Word for iPad

Many of you enjoy the ability to quickly apply the same formatting, such as color, font style and size, and border style, to multiple pieces of text or graphics. Format Painter Buttons for PowerPoint and Word for Windows and Mac.

Now in PowerPoint and Word for iPad, you can copy all the formatting from one object and apply it to another with just one tap.

How it works

1. Select the text or graphic with the format you want to copy, then Format Painter button house tag.

2. When the cursor changes to a paintbrush shape, select the text or graphic you want to format.
3. To apply the same format to multiple selections: Format Painter Click the button and then select the text or graphic you want to format.
4. To stop applying copied formats: Keyboard key.

effectiveness

This feature is available to Office Insiders running Version 2.70 (Build 23012202) or later.

Features are released over time to ensure everything works smoothly. They are released slowly to a larger number of Insiders, highlighting features you may not have. Sometimes we remove elements based on your feedback to make them even better. This is rare, but we also have the option to completely remove a feature from the product, even if you, as an Insider, had the opportunity to try it out.
