Create slides in Portrait mode on PowerPoint for iOS

Hi Insiders! I’m Ekta Dwivedy, a Product Manager on the PowerPoint Mobile team. I’m excited to announce that you can now create portrait slides in PowerPoint for iPhone and iPad!

Create a slide in portrait mode

As we transition to mobile-first content creation, we’ve heard from many of you that you prefer to work in portrait mode. Based on your feedback, we’ve added the ability to toggle portrait mode on and off when creating and editing slides!

How it works

On iPad

1. Open an existing presentation or create a new one.
2. to design Tap, tap orientation.

   Design > Orientation menu on iPad

effectiveness

This feature is available to Office Insiders running Version 2.68 (Build 22112003) or later.

Features are released over time to ensure everything works smoothly. They are released slowly to a larger number of Insiders, highlighting features you may not have. Sometimes we remove elements based on your feedback to make them even better. This is rare, but we also have the option to completely remove a feature from the product, even if you, as an Insider, had the opportunity to try it out.
