I’ll also give you some hints along the way and hopefully inspire you to think about how you can use Copilot in your everyday work! Social media is a powerful tool for businesses of all sizes, but especially small businesses that use it as a way to reach new customers and drive sales. But marketers are always pressed for time, and strategizing and creating content can be daunting and time-consuming. How do you create compelling content, reach your target audience, and measure results? How do you balance your social media presence with other tasks and priorities? Today, I’m going to show you how I use social media. Copilot is here to help you generate and execute social media marketing ideas. Can you do the same? Tip 1: Know where and when to post Not everyone knows where to start with social media marketing. With so many platforms out there, I helped Copilot with some initial research. Access co-pilotI asked the pilot “Search the web for social media platforms that should create posts for the Microsoft Tech Community blog sharing Copilot tips. Compare the top five platforms based on their primary audience type, level of expertise, number of users, and typical engagement volume. Respond with a table comparing the spot features of each product using check marks and X icons.” Image of Copilot holding a table evaluating different social media platforms and responding to prompts. Just as important as where you post is when you post. You want as many people as possible, globally. Ask Copilot follow-up questions in the same chat session. “When is the best time to post to LinkedIn to share a new blog post I wrote for the Microsoft Tech Community? I live in Washington, so please suggest a time in Pacific Standard Time. I want to maximize global audience and engagement.” Here’s a pilot responding to a message asking about the best time to post on LinkedIn. Tip 2: Know what to post Here’s where things get interesting. I’m drafting this blog post in Word before posting it to Tech Community. In your Word file, select Copilot on the right side of the toolbar. Knowing that Copilot will be referencing the contents of the current document, you could ask:“What are some short posts I could make about this blog on LinkedIn?” Copilot in Word responding to a message asking for suggestions on what to post to expand this blog on LinkedIn It is much quicker to review these options drafted by Copilot, Focus on In contrast to what I like to refine Starting from smanger. Ask me tooEd: “What additional hashtags are relevant to this blog?” That’s how I am Significantly reduces the time required Put together This is a social post from this blog. Tip 3: Think Differently with Copilot As with the prompts and tips on this blog, Copilot is key. It makes me think differently about solving complex problems. Instead of relying on my assumptions or biases (or traditional web searches), I am using Copilot to create new habits of generating different perspectives, hypotheses, and ideas, and then applying my expertise to formulate solutions. It’s also helpful to remember that you can have iterative conversations with Copilot, ask follow-up questions, clarify goals, and refine input as part of the process. How are you using Copilot?
