The National Biological Institute, Noida, India, invites applications for scientific positions from suitable and interested candidates.

Um- The National Biological Institute, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, is a renowned scientific organization committed to quality assurance of biological products in the country. The Institute invites applications for the following positions on direct recruitment basis.

Research/Work Area-

Biologics and biotherapeutics, vaccine development, microbiology, biochemistry, immunohematology, blood transfusion, pharmacology, bacteriology, serology, hematology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, molecular biology, physiology and related fields.

Location- National Biological Institute, Sector 62, Institutional Area, Noida – 201309, India

Authorization/Qualification–

Scientists (Level I):

• medicine: MBBS from an MCI recognized medical college and a PG degree in medicine in relevant fields with 10 years of experience.
• Non-medical: Master’s degree with at least 60% in Microbiology, Clinical Microbiology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, etc., with 10 years of relevant experience in quality control testing, dossier review or research.

Scientists (Level II):

• medicine: MBBS with a PG degree in Medicine in relevant fields and 5 years of experience.
• Non-medical: Master’s degree with at least 60% in relevant fields and 7 years of relevant experience.

Young scientists:

• qualification: Master’s degree with at least 60% in relevant fields and 4 years of relevant experience.

Desirable: For all positions, publications in indexed journals are desired.

Job description-

Designation: Scientist (Grade I), Scientist (Grade II), Junior Scientist

The selected candidates are responsible for:

• Conducting quality control testing for biological and biotherapeutic drugs.
• Review of technical dossiers on vaccines and biotherapeutics.
• Management of safety assessments and performance evaluations of in vitro diagnostic medical devices.
• Oversee the evaluation and review of adverse reactions and pharmacovigilance data.
• Managing quality systems according to ISO standards.
• Conducting research in the biological and biomedical sciences.
