Postdoctoral Researcher – Intestinal Cell Atlas

  • Designation: Postdoctoral Fellow
  • Research area: Intestinal Cell Atlas – Research program on normal and Crohn’s diseases
  • Location: Earlham Institute, Hinxton, Cambridge, with collaboration in Edinburgh
  • Eligibility/Qualification: Promotion in Bioinformatics, computational biology or a related field. Experience with single-cell transcriptomics and spatial transcriptomics data preferred. Knowledge of biological statistics required; experience with long-read sequencing is an advantage.
  • Job description: The successful candidate will perform analyses of single-cell RNA sequencing data, develop tools to integrate transcriptomics with histological images, and conduct bioinformatics investigations into the pathogenesis of Crohn’s disease. The role will involve contributing to the Helmsley Charitable Trust funded research programme, working in a multidisciplinary environment with collaborators in Edinburgh, and contributing to the analysis pipelines of the Institute’s core open workflows and computational tools.
