PRESENTATION ALIMA

THE ALIMA SPIRIT: ALIMA’s raison d’être is to save lives and protect the most vulnerable populations without any discrimination in identity, religion or politics and in search of actions based on proximity, innovation and alliance of organizations et d’individus. We fight with humanism, impartiality and respect the ethics universal medicine. We are ready to intervene neutrally and independently to ensure access to patients and other patients.

SOIGNER – INNOVER – ENSEMBLE : Since its creation in 2009, ALIMA has counted more than 10 million patients and continued its operations in 12 countries in Africa. In 2022, we developed more than 60 humanitarian medical assistance projects to support victims of populations affected by conflict, epidemics and extreme pain. The ensemble of these projects has been included by national health authorities in 511 health facilities (not including 47 hospitals and 464 health centers). We have worked in partnership with NGO sites so that we can improve access and transfer of skills to ensure we are permanently at the side of our patients. To improve the humanitarian response, we have chosen projects to research surgeries and clinics dealing with malnutrition and viral hemorrhoids.

THE ALIMA TEAM: More than 2,000 people are currently working for ALIMA. The field teams, located close to patients, require from them the support of general coordination equipment in the capital of the intervention premiums. Celles-ci received the support of 4 teams and the emergency and emergency response team in the siege operation of Dakar, Senegal. The Paris and New York teams worked in conjunction with the Alima representation to collect funds. The rest of the ALIMA galaxy is made up of individuals and participating teams who work on the responsibility of other organizations, including the medical NGOs BEFEN, ALERTE Santé, SOS Médecins, KEOOGO, AMCP-SP, DEMTOU-Humanitaire and the researched organisms of the PAC -CI, Inserm, the universities of Bordeaux or Copenhagen and others.

OUR INTERVENTION COUNTRIES: Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, République Centrafricaine, République Démocratique du Congo, Sudan, Chad, Ethiopia, Haiti.

CONTEXT

ALIMA’s programs are in their vast majority financed by fund financiers: institutional funds, agencies of nations, collaborations, private foundations … Our main funders are ECHO, BHA, the CDCS, the AFD and others. ALIMA is also in charge of projects in consortium with international partners and research institutes of ONG. A large number of our businessmen and partners are made up of representatives on the site, the relationship with them is established just behind the local offices. The financing of projects and the search for funds are under the responsibility of the mission as well as the application of intervention and support teams in Dakar. Un.e Responsable Relations Bailleurs is present in all cases. During the siege, a service to the operational forces for the relationship with the financiers was carried out, a notamment for the objection order, the following contract and official communication with the various financiers. This service is part of the operational management and is composed of a Bailleurs Service Relations Officer, a Bailleurs Research Officer, a Grants Officer and a Bailleurs Référent.e at the geographical desk. ALIMA also has a Département du Développement based in Paris, Dakar and New York and is responsible for finding funds for private donors and foundations.

Level 1: The title of the post does not include contact with children or vulnerable adults and access to those in their care; for this reason, the verification by the bailiff is not mandatory for this post, since the content of the post does not require modification and therefore the level of protection for vulnerable populations must be verified.

You are the responsibility of the Bailleur Service Relations Manager and you work in an international collaboration with the Bailleur team.

PRINCIPLES OF MISSION

The post of Grants Officer is assigned to the “Generation ALIMA” policy and is accompanied by junior profiles and collaborators committed to the effectiveness of the deployment and our intervention. I had a unique opportunity to join the pool of Responsables Relations Bailleurs at ALIMA. During the contract period, the objectives set in the trimester faculty were set in parallel with an individual development plan. Le.la Grants Officer also carries out deployments on the site and on the basis of the identified people. The evaluation was positive, after the conclusion of the contract, the Grants Officer was deployed on the site where the Responsable Relations Bailleurs were located.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

They will be mobilized for the following activities. The list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and can only be carried out on the basis of the staff identified by the Post Office.

1. Use financial research and reporting for projects with multiple payment terms, transversal texts and out of office

• Research for funding and preparation of concept notes and project proposals for multilingual projects and transversal themes

You will be responsible for researching finances and reporting for multi-pay projects and cross-thematic projects, and learn what environmental and logistical measures are required. You will coordinate the preparation of concept notes and project proposals and pledge them with the teams concerned to be able to respond to identified opportunities.

• Ensures the production of reports on multilingual projects and transversal themes

You are responsible for the elaboration of intermediary and financial relations for multi-pay projects and transversal themes, saying that environmental and logistical measures are required, through the formats and rules for reporting imposed by the fund manager. You participate in this project with the staff involved. You are responsible for processing the documents, ensuring that you meet the deadlines and are responsible for the quality of the reports.

• Appui au Service des Urgences et Ouvertures

They use the Urgency and Overture service in Bailleur Cartography and the Contracting Collection for project overtures. They also turn to describing concept notes, project proposals and reports for project progress and urgent responses.

They can rely on working with the identified people, projects or specific missions. They must carry out the missions on site until the selected people understand the role of the bailleurs and propose a helper to the team.

2. Contact the Equipment Inspection Department of the Service de Relations Bailleurs.

You are encouraged by the Bailleurs Relations Service to review the tools and procedures. In consultation with the Bailleurs Relations Team, you propose improvements to existing tools and the creation of new ones.

COMPETENCES and EXPERIENCE

Education

Title of a Diplôme d’études supérieur (Master’s level or equivalent) en lien avec le poste (Sciences Politiques, Relations Internationales, …). You must have at least 1 year of experience in the humanitarian context and/or during the siege of ONG You have a good knowledge of the main fund managers (ECHO, BHA, DUE, AFD CDCS…) You have excellent drafting capacities You have a good mastery of project management tools (project cycle, cadre logic, project proposals, reporting, etc.);

Languages

Excellent written and oral expression in French and English

CONDITIONS

Duration and type of contract : Contract with a term of 12 months

Postage fees : 15.09.2024

Salary : Level 6 of ALIMA’s internal salary grid (soit un monant brut mensuel de 1 285 978 FCFA – soit environment 1950 €)

ALIMA assumes responsibility:

• Frais de déplacements between the country of origin and the base country (They recruit internationally)
• For five weeks, congestion will be paid for by a tag recovery system for layoffs
• Main residence (They recruit internationally)
• Price at the expense of school graduation for adolescent children, in the cadre of politics and the ceilings ALIMA en vigueur
• Free health and eviction fees from ALIMA for the worker and his employees
