Postdoctoral Fellow in Nanocatalysts: We are pleased to announce a position for a Postdoctoral Fellow for the CAT-BIOMED project led by Dr. Susana Carregal in the Multidisciplinary Group on Molecular and Functional Biomarkers at CIC biomaGUNE. The successful candidate will develop a library of nanomaterials designed as advanced contrast agents for molecular imaging and as catalysts for key intracellular processes with therapeutic purposes. These innovative nanomaterials will be comprehensively characterized using state-of-the-art nanotechnology techniques and their potential applications will be evaluated using different models.

Authorization/Qualification:

  • Experience in catalysis and magnetic properties
  • Experienced in writing scientific manuscripts

Positively rated skills:

  • Experience with X-ray absorption spectroscopy
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data processing

Job description:

  • Characterize nanomaterials using advanced nanotechnology methods.
  • Evaluate nano-bio interactions with biological barriers.
  • Test potential applications using modern in vitro models.
  • Collaborate with our team of experts to explore preclinical model applications.
  • Conduct independent research, prepare scientific manuscripts and work as part of an interdisciplinary team. This requires strong team-building skills and close interaction with colleagues.
  • Development of nanomaterials based on iron oxide and calcium carbonate.
  • The focus is on the development of theranostic materials and contrast agents for molecular imaging to research and treat lung diseases.
