Everything you should know about Visio 2016 and Visio 2019 end of support

October 14, 2025, Vizio 2016 and Vizio 2019 Support ends. After this date, you will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or technical support for Visio 2016 and Visio 2019. Continued use of software after support ends may leave your organization vulnerable to potential security threats, loss of productivity, and compliance issues.

Customer installations of Visio 2016 and Visio 2019 will continue to run after October 14, 2025. However, due to potential security risks, we strongly recommend that customers upgrade from this version before the upcoming end-of-support date.

We recommend customers upgrade to: Visio Plan 2 Additional options include upgrading to a commercial Microsoft 365 plan to get the full-featured web and desktop apps. Upgrade to Microsoft 365

To use Visio in Microsoft 365 for native viewing and editing on the web, upgrade to a commercial Microsoft 365 plan. Visio in Microsoft 365 lets users create, view, edit, and share basic network diagrams, block diagrams, business matrices, flowcharts, pyramid diagrams, and Venn diagrams through Visio on the web or the Visio app in Teams.
