Today, let’s take a quick look. Enterprise Data Protection (EDP) We’ll show you how Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Copilot can help you get things done with confidence, and why we think it’s important. First, what is EDP? It stands for Control and Promise. data Additional Protection Clauses (DPA) and Product Terms and ConditionsApplies to customer data for Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Copilot users. If you sign in with an Entra ID, it applies to both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Copilot. This allows you to use Copilot confidently to get your work done without the risk of data leakage. Now let’s see how this can be useful! Tip 1: Find out how your product compares to your competitors Let’s say I have an internal document that describes the specifications for a new product and I need to figure out how to get it to market. EDP means I can attach a file to my prompt knowing that it will remain safe while Copilot combines information from my data with the latest information from the web to provide me with a response. 1. Here, we are in the “web” scope. Microsoft 365 Copilot. Screenshot from Microsoft Copilot 2. Enter the prompt. “I am using the product specifications in this document to create a table comparing my new e-bike to other products on the market. I want to see how my product compares and get an idea of how much I should price my bike.” 3. Select the paper clip icon in the bottom right of the chat window and select a product specification document from your files. Tip 2: Simplify collaboration with Microsoft 365 Copilot If you have a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, you can use Copilot Pages to further streamline collaboration with your colleagues. 1. I put the same prompt in the scope of work in Business Chat, but this time in the scope of work in Microsoft 365 Copilot. This time, I just use the slash button to link the file to the prompt. For example, you could mention @Bri and ask her to take a look and add her thoughts and ideas. She can do this directly on the page, or she can ask Copilot for help. These small but simple ways of leveraging Copilot have dramatically improved and changed the way I work, solve problems, and collaborate.
