What’s New in the Microsoft 365 app – December 2023

We’re excited to share another roundup of new features coming next month for our Microsoft 365 Insider community and Microsoft 365 consumers with a free account or paid subscription.

What’s new in Microsoft 365 Apps for web and Windows

On the web Microsoft365.com Microsoft 365 Apps for Windows is rolling out new features that let you share content right from your home screen, reduce the number of steps needed to edit or delete files, and recommend the best apps for your daily tasks, including:

Now you can get personalized app recommendations based on the role and activity you focus on. Answer a short, two-question survey to find the best tools for your work and get the most out of the wide range of Microsoft 365 apps available to you.

Plus, you can learn more about new apps, features, and capabilities you might not have known about, helping you accomplish a wider range of personal tasks. App Section Includes featured app cards with engaging content and videos from product experts sharing fun tips and tricks for starting a new or current project, like an app. Clip Champ and designer.

Share files within Microsoft 365 apps

Provides the ability to share files directly from the Home or My Content screen. Simply click. More options Click the (…) button next to the file name and select it. Share Enter details about who you want to share the file with.

Delete files within Microsoft 365 apps

Now you can delete files directly from your Microsoft 365 apps and free up space on your OneDrive storage. Simply from the Home or My Content screen. More options Select the (…) button next to the file name deleteThen click Yes, I will delete it. When the deletion confirmation message appears.

memo: Deleted items can be found in the OneDrive Recycle Bin. Also, some files may not be deleted depending on their location and file ownership.
