Each month, we highlight new features and enhancements to keep Microsoft 365 administrators up-to-date with Copilot features that help them be more productive and efficient in the apps they use every day. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new this month. Management and Management Features: End-user features: To help users quickly realize the full benefits of Microsoft 365 Copilot, we’ve developed: Copilot User Activation Toolkit. The toolkit includes example role-specific prompts and Copilot use cases, along with communication templates and resources you can send to users and administrators to drive better Copilot engagement. Content is designed to be customized to fit your organization’s needs. This toolkit is Microsoft 365 Copilot Adoption Hub In September. Screenshot of Microsoft 365 Copilot customizable email template for Outlook Increase your Copilot proficiency with expanded access to Microsoft Copilot Academy Microsoft Co-Pilot Academy Anyone with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license can now increase their Copilot proficiency. Paid Viva license is no longer needed To access Copilot Academy Curated by Microsoft experts, the Academy provides a comprehensive, structured learning experience designed to help you master the use of Copilot through hands-on learning activities and experiences. Expanded controls to manage the availability of Copilot in Teams meetings We’re introducing expanded controls to manage the availability of Copilot in Teams meetings. IT administrators and meeting hosts can now select the ‘Off’ value for Copilot. IT admins can check the settings in the Teams admin center and set Copilot to ‘off’ on a per-tenant, per-user, or both basis. Meeting hosts will have access to a control in Meeting Options called “Allow co-pilots” and will see three choices: (1) only during meetings, (2) during and after meetings, and (3) off. The new ‘off’ value disables Copilot availability for Teams meetings and also disables recording and transcription. This feature will be released in September. Users can now create images directly from Business Chat or Visual Creator Copilot agents using natural language prompts in both web mode and work mode. Business Chat leverages advanced AI models to generate visual content, allowing users to seamlessly visualize concepts and ideas within their workflow. This feature Released in September. Users can now chat and interact with their business chat (company) directly from Outlook mobile and Outlook for Mac. It can help you summarize emails, find important information in your organization, or prepare for an important meeting. this function Released in August. If users need to escalate an email thread into a live conversation, Copilot can help them set up a meeting by selecting: Plan your itinerary with Copilot It’s a button on the ribbon. Copilot creates meeting titles, suggests possible meeting times, drafts agendas, and summarizes conversations. You are now ready to send your meeting invitation. this function Released in August. As with Word and Excel, users can interact with Copilot from the app’s side pane to call up content from loop pages, the enterprise, and across the web. You can use this space to brainstorm, ask questions, and catch up without interrupting your team. Enjoy a private Copilot experience within Loop’s collaborative environment. This feature was released in September. Use Copilot Chat in Loop to ask Copilot questions and copy the answers to the Loop page. Use Copilot in Word to reference longer pieces of content and start working on documents faster. Users can now reference longer blocks of content in Draft using Copilot in Word. You can reference blocks of content of up to approximately 75,000 words. (Note: Generated content is still limited to a maximum of 3,000 words.) This feature It launches on the web in July and on desktop and Mac in September.. Users can also start drafting right away using example prompts. In blank documents, Copilot in Word now provides one-click examples of prompts to help users quickly start a new document. This feature Released for web in Septemberand October for Desktop and Mac. Check out one-click examples and more prominent prompt boxes when you start with a blank document using Copilot in Word. Capture all your thoughts with Copilot in OneNote You can now use Think with Ink in Copilot in OneNote to analyze typed and handwritten notes simultaneously. No matter how your thoughts are captured, Copilot will summarize, rewrite or create your to-do list. Users can also write messages directly in the Copilot chat window, which will automatically be converted to typed text. This feature was released in August. In the OneNote app, users write messages directly into the Copilot chat window to update content on OneNote pages.
