What’s New for Planner in Teams in July 2024

The Planner team is excited to share a new update. Planner app for Microsoft Teams. We appreciate your valuable feedback that helped shape our feature updates, and we hope that these features will greatly improve your experience managing your work and coordinating team initiatives.

This feature allows you to quickly share your plan with your team members, allowing everyone to access the plan with one click. To access this feature, select the overflow menu in your plan. my plan Select a page and “Copy link to plan“:

We heard the desire for a way to see the plans associated with a specific task when looking at the details of the task. My homework. With this update, you can now switch from task view to full plan navigation by selecting the plan name at the top of the task card. My homework see.

Continuous filter and sort

We’ve made it easier to pick up right where you left off. Now, when you apply a filter or sort by column in your plan, Planner will remember your selections the next time you open it.

Improved Assigned Task Cards in Viva Connections

The “Assigned Tasks” card has recently been improved. Viva Connections Dashboard. With the new update to the “Assigned Tasks” card in Planner, users will see a new “Add Task” button that allows users to quickly create a task, which will then be available in the Planner app. As before, the “Assigned Tasks” card will continue to show the number of tasks assigned to the user, and users can open the Assigned Tasks view to see those tasks in more detail. The large format of the “Assigned Tasks” card also includes an “Open Planner” button that opens the full Planner app, which is useful for other needs, such as viewing all the tasks in a plan.
