The Planner team is excited to share a new update. Planner app for Microsoft Teams. We appreciate your valuable feedback that helped shape our feature updates, and we hope that these features will greatly improve your experience managing your work and coordinating team initiatives.

Resizing columns in grid view

Customize your task view by adjusting the column sizes to make it easier to focus on what’s important. In My Day, My Tasks, or All Plans, go to grid view and hover over a column to increase or decrease its width.

Find a recommended plan

We’re excited to introduce the Recommended Plans feature in the new Planner in Teams, which helps you quickly find the right plan for your work by highlighting new plans with work assigned to them that you haven’t seen yet.

The Recommended Plans view can be found in My Plans along with other views such as Recent, Shared, Private, and Pinned. The Recommended Plans view only appears when you have a new plan with tasks assigned that are not yet listed in your Recent Plans.

Improved experience for copying plan links

Now when you copy a link to a plan, the link will be pasted with the plan name, making it easier for you and your team members to identify which plan you are connected to. Check out this feature by selecting ‘Copy Link to Plan’ from the overflow menu of any plan and pasting the link.

Using Copilot in Planner (Preview)

Final pricing has not been announced, but users with a Project Plan 3 or Project Plan 5 license can preview the Copilot in Planner feature. Copilot in Planner (Preview) can significantly enhance the project planning, task management, and progress tracking process. If you want to try this feature but don’t have a Project license, you can start a free 30-day trial of a Project Plan 3 license by selecting the diamond icon in the Planner app in Teams.

GCC’s Access Planner

Government Community Cloud (GCC) users can now access the Planner app in Teams to ensure secure and efficient work management. To learn more about this update, see: The new Microsoft Planner for Teams is now available on GCC – Microsoft Community Hub.

Open your premium plan faster

We’ve recently made several changes that will allow you to unlock premium plans 15% faster than before. We know that app performance is critical to successfully completing tasks, and this is one of many improvements we’re making in this area. Try it out and let us know if you can feel the difference!
