The new Planner for the web is starting to be generally available.

We’re bringing the new Planner experience to the web! this month New Planner for web launched in Targeted public audience. This feature will be rolled out to all customers over the next few weeks, starting at a smaller percentage to allow us to address customer feedback and bugs in the product. The new Planner lets you manage all your tasks from Microsoft To Do, Microsoft Planner, and Microsoft Project in one place, infused with the intelligence of Microsoft 365 Copilot for Planner (preview).

Export your plan to Excel

Export your planning data to Excel to view, analyze, and share in other formats. To take advantage of this feature, go to the drop-down menu in the plan header and select ‘Export to Excel’. Learn more about how. Export plan to Excel Learn how to interact with your planning data using Excel.

Do you have a plan that you are using as a template for other plans? With the new ‘Copy Plan’ feature, duplicating a plan has never been easier! Select ‘Copy Plan’ from the drop-down menu in the plan header. All tasks in the plan are copied. The basic plan lets you choose to include priorities, dates, descriptions, checklists, and labels, while the premium plan copies these by default and includes attachments as well.

Access plans created in Teams meetings

You can now view task lists created in Teams meeting notes through the Loop Task List component in Planner’s My Plan view. Learn how Add a task list to a meeting Then view your task list in Planner.

Edit recipient team for upcoming task list in task posting

Task publishing is a feature for frontline organizations that allows a central leader to create a list of tasks, distribute those tasks to multiple locations, and monitor execution across multiple locations. We recently launched the ability to edit recipient teams for scheduled task lists and future recurring task lists. In the left navigation menu, next to the list name… You can find this action by clicking the menu, which allows you to select an updated set of recipients. This is useful for updating recurring lists when new locations open, old locations close, or organizational changes require a different set of locations to receive work.

Two new templates with more coming soon

We’re excited to release two new default templates to help your team manage customer relationships and triage tickets! To access these templates, select the “+ New Plan” button in the Planner app, then select “See All Templates.”
