Edit: with release date MS-4017: Manage and scale Microsoft 365 Copilot With the change to November 22, 2024, we want to give our partners and trainers more time to better prepare for retirement. MS-4006: Copilot for Microsoft 365 for administrators. So we extended our retirement. MS-4006 Until November 29, 2024. This will be reflected in the next published title plan and in MS Learn within the next two weeks. MS-4006: Copilot for Microsoft 365 for administrators credentials: Not applicable Updated retirement date: November 29, 2024 MS-4006 (Microsoft 365 Copilot for Administrators) was originally designed to help administrators prepare their tenants for Microsoft 365 Copilot activation. At the time, Copilot management capabilities had not been released, so the primary preparation for Copilot was to ensure that organizations implemented security and compliance controls in Microsoft 365 that ultimately affected how data was protected and used in Microsoft 365 Copilot. We also knew from our research that many of our customers were not following Microsoft’s best practices for permissions, users, and policies (covered in MS-102). So the Modern Work team was asked to create a brief, one-day course that would introduce Microsoft 365 Copilot and summarize key points from MS-102 related to Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls. Thus, MS-4006 was born. In the early days of Copilot, MS-4006 served customers well as they prepared to implement Microsoft 365 Copilot. However, with the recent launch of Microsoft 365 Copilot management features and scalability options, customer needs have changed. Instead of focusing on the security and compliance features that were in MS-4006 (which are still covered in MS-102), we should now target training on the new Copilot management controls and scalability features. The Modern Work team heard feedback from stakeholders, partners, instructors, and customers. Their need for change was the driving force behind our decision. Alternative Course: MS-4017: Manage and scale Microsoft 365 Copilot Updated release date: Released on November 22, 2024 credentials: Not applicable Therefore, we are discontinuing MS-4006 and replacing it with a new one-day ILT course. MS-4017: Manage and scale your Microsoft 365 Copilot. Please read below for more information about upcoming ILT courses. This course begins with the same learning path (LP) as MS-4006, which introduces Microsoft 365 Copilot. This LP includes modules covering Copilot design and implementation requirements that are still useful to new Copilot customers. It also includes modules that summarize key Microsoft 365 security and compliance features that impact Microsoft 365 Copilot deployments. Detailed security and compliance LPs and wraps from MS-4006 that were appropriate for MS-102 have been removed. This leaves only the summarized module. New LP related to Copilot management will be added. This LP begins with a module on how organizations can apply Zero Trust principles to their Microsoft 365 Copilot deployments. It then includes a module on Administering Microsoft Copilot and a module on Administering Microsoft 365 Copilot Admin. The course concludes with a new LP that guides administrators to prepare for Microsoft Copilot extensibility. This LP begins with a module on Copilot scalability basics and concludes with a module on choosing a Copilot scalability development path. Note: This is not a support forum.
