Unified Teams app for work, personal, and education accounts is now available on all platforms

Microsoft Teams has transformed the way we connect and collaborate at work and in life. Until now, Windows 11 has had two Teams apps: one for work or education, and one for personal use.

Today, we’re excited to announce that the unified Teams app is now available on Windows 11, Windows 10, and Mac. This update unifies your work, personal, and education accounts into a single Teams app.

Check all your accounts in one place

To add or access additional accounts, sign in to Teams and select your profile picture in the top right corner. Your work, personal, and education accounts will open in side-by-side windows in a single Teams app.

We also know that many of you have multiple Teams accounts, so we’ve made it easy to choose your preferred account when joining a Teams meeting. You can join as a guest without even logging in. Whether you’re joining a call to connect with a client or discuss your school’s fall fundraiser, simply choose your preferred account the moment you join the meeting.

Personal Team

All users, including Windows 10 and Mac users, can now connect and collaborate with anyone, anytime, for free, by logging in with their personal email. Schedule a free meeting and invite participants with a simple join link. Or create a community to bring groups, like fantasy football leagues or school parent organizations, together in a shared space where they can call, chat, share files, and more. The updated Teams desktop app, which supports all account types, is now available to use, joining the mobile apps. android and apologize. If you already have Teams on your desktop, the app will update automatically. You can also download the app today. here.
