Focus on our activities in the occupied Palestinian territories Our mission in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (oPt) has been operational since 2002. Currently, 5 expatriates and 45 local staff work in PUI bases in East Jerusalem, Ramallah, Nablus, Hebron and Gaza. PUI is developing its integrated approach with protection, food security, economic recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction interventions in both the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza. Our overall objective is to provide assistance and protection to the most vulnerable Palestinians who face the risk of forced displacement and violations of international humanitarian law. In this way, PUI contributes to protecting their rights, improving access to basic humanitarian services and building resistance groups by applying an integrated, multi-sectoral approach based on the needs, vulnerabilities and priorities of individuals, specific groups and communities. What about the support, administration and finance coordinator? As Administrative and Financial Coordinator, you will be responsible for the proper financial, accounting and budgetary management of the Mission, as well as for the management of human resources and administrative and legal records. You will represent the Mission in financial, administrative and human resources matters both internally and externally (donors, authorities, NGOs, etc.). For this purpose, you are responsible for: Financial, budget and accounting management: You are responsible for all aspects of finances, including budgetary and accounting aspects as well as the cash flow of the mission. Human resources management: You will be responsible for the administrative management of local and international teams, for defining/updating procedures and human resources management tools in accordance with the labor regulations in the country of operation and PUI’s human resources policies, and for monitoring risks related to human resources issues. Administrative and legal management: They monitor administrative records and ensure that the status and functioning of the mission comply with the legal requirements of the country of operation. Depiction: You represent the association in its relations with partners, authorities and various local actors in the financial, administrative, legal and human resources areas of the mission. You participate proactively in the development of PUI’s inter-NGO financial network (administrative, financial, legal, human resources, etc.). coordination: They centralise and disseminate information within the mission and to headquarters on all financial, administrative, legal and human resources aspects of the mission and consolidate internal and external reporting for these areas. What you need for success Training You have a master’s degree or equivalent in finance/accounting. A technical background in one of our fields of activity (project management, human resources management) is an advantage. Experience You have at least 3 years of experience in financial/accounting management. Previous experience abroad in the field of humanitarian aid would be desirable.
