New Trends in Digital Workplace

As technology and the way we work evolve at a rapid pace, Debbie shared some of the emerging trends she’s observed at the Digital Workplace Conference. Here are some of Debbie’s key insights:

1. AI is now a ubiquitous topic, and its impact is far-reaching. Debbie highlighted how AI could become a “personal assistant”, helping people improve their work efficiency, especially for those who didn’t have a personal assistant before.
2. There is a growing understanding of the “people first” mindset.. Technology is essential, but what needs to change is people’s habits and behaviors. Engaging people on the journey is critical to any implementation.
3. Events like these conferences highlight the desperate need for direct interaction. Hybrid workplaces are on the rise, but nothing beats personal contact. The trend is shifting away from remote work and toward people returning to the workplace.

The conference featured 35 speakers, with 12 speakers selected to share their expertise over the two-day event. Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Community. “We had customers, thought leaders, industry experts. It was a great mix,” Debbie said.

Debbie gave all the speakers a “big round of applause.” She expressed her gratitude by saying, “As a presenter, I always appreciate the time and dedication that it takes. I once estimated that it took me about 40 hours to prepare and practice (I think I had to practice at least 3-5 times!). That’s a lot of time. Not to mention the knowledge, experience, and expertise that I give up. I am so grateful to the speakers at our conference.”
