Serverless is not supported for Elastic Pool by info.odysseyx@gmail.com October 8, 2024 written by info.odysseyx@gmail.com October 8, 2024 0 comment 3 views 3 There have been several instances where customers have attempted to configure serverless options for elastic pools. However, serverless is not supported for elastic pools. For more information about the serverless compute layer, see the following articles: Serverless compute layer for Azure SQL Database Serverless is price/performance optimized for a single database with intermittent and unpredictable usage patterns that can tolerate some delay in readying compute after a period of idle usage. The Provisioned Compute tier, on the other hand, is price-performance optimized for a single database or multiple databases in an elastic pool with higher average usage that cannot afford compute ready delays. For more information about the different service tiers available for elastic pools, check out the following links: If a customer wants to leverage the serverless option, they must remove the database from the pool and convert the tier to serverless.
