Reza’s travels This year alone, he has visited 15 cities, with more planned for his busy world tour schedule. “I’ve visited 15 cities so far this year, and I plan to visit at least 10 more cities over the rest of the year. It’s not like I did a course in each city. Some were courses, some were user group presentations, and some were conferences,” he shared. Reza Rad Visits the American Community Reza’s journey isn’t just about imparting technical knowledge and helping people improve their skills in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, but also about building global bridges and lasting personal connections between leaders and the community. “I want to thank the community leaders and MVPs in each city. They are the ones who host user group sessions, Data Saturdays, conferences, and build the community there, and they are doing the most important work,” he acknowledges. These leaders and MVPs are the community champions who work tirelessly to make these interactions possible, and Reza’s appreciation for them is clear. Always with Reza on his journey is his wife and inspirational MVP, Leila Etaati. “I also want to mention Leila, she is the one I miss the most on this whole trip. I know she would have enjoyed being with the community in every city,” Reza recalls. Hamburg PASS Data Platform User Group Despite my busy schedule and the demands of my role as CEO, Lada CardReza finds ways to integrate work, community leadership, and personal wellness so he can recharge and bring his best self to each community interaction. “It’s a hard balance to strike. I probably spend more time on work and community activities than on personal wellness. But I also try to take a day before or after a class or conference to explore the city a little bit. That way, I give myself a little more room for enjoyment,” he admits. The second half of 2024 is expected to be equally exciting for Reza. “There are a lot of things happening, including: PASS Data Community Summit, Microsoft IgniteThere are still four more cities left on the tour, DEFINE CONFERENCE “As the year draws to a close, there is still a lot to look forward to,” he says with anticipation. These events are not only milestones on his calendar, but also an opportunity to continue his mission of helping people improve their skills and learn how to use tools and services in their data analytics projects. Reza took the stage at the Microsoft Power BI & Fabric User Group at Microsoft Reactor in Sydney. As Reza travels from city to city, his journey is not just about the destination, but also the people he meets along the way, the community he creates, and the connections he fosters. “I love seeing other people succeed in their projects and careers, and I play my small part in that,” he says.
