MAP is delivered through long-term partnerships with a range of partners, including local organizations and, where possible, through locally led architecture. This request for proposals focuses on four of the five MAP EOPOs, each aligned with DFAT’s next Southeast Asia Regional Development Partnership Plan. Mekong regional partners reduce vulnerability to the impacts of climate change. Mekong regional partners manage water resources in a more coordinated and sustainable manner. Mekong regional partners expand leadership and economic opportunities for women, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups. Mekong sub-regional partners can strengthen economic resilience and sub-regional integration. Funding Information The total value of the proposal must be between $2 million and $10 million. Qualification criteria Organizations must meet the following criteria: We operate as international, regional or national non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs), universities, research institutes, foundations or social enterprises. Must be headquartered in Australia and/or the Mekong Sub-region and demonstrate the ability to operate in the proposed implementation country through established offices, partnerships and/or networks. Eligible organizations may form a consortium and submit a proposal with two or more delivery partners. All eligible institutions and consortia must demonstrate sufficient financial and organizational capacity to deliver their proposals. The following suggestions are requested: Address development challenges that are inherently sub-regional and/or transnational, and are shared and cross-border. Involves two or more countries in the Mekong region, including Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. Respond to one or more of the MAP EOPOs. Focus on one or more MAP thematic areas, including Climate Resilience, Water Security, Economic Resilience and Sub-regional Integration, GEDSI. A mainstream approach to strengthening gender equality, disability and social inclusion outcomes, outputs and activities, including indicators measuring GEDSI performance. Multi-year funding of between AUD$2 million and AUD$10 million is required. Disqualification criteria No suggestions are requested for: MAP topic areas include International Crime or Transversal Leadership and Technology. The investment value is less than $2 million, or is bilateral (one country) in nature. Manage and implement contractors and other commercial service providers. Implementation by international, regional or national governmental organizations, government-affiliated trade unions or mass organizations, or development banks.
