Hyphen Resource Center, in partnership with Playground at Habib University, is pleased to announce the Civic Fellowship, which provides undergraduate and graduate students across Pakistan with the opportunity to actively engage and drive meaningful social change. .

During the program, fellows will develop sustainable, community-driven initiatives aimed at creating long-term impact. Through hands-on experience, we work with stakeholders and experts to better understand the nuances of these issues, devise workable solutions, and implement them within our communities. An important part of the civic fellowship program is the establishment of civic clubs at participating colleges and universities. These clubs serve as long-term platforms for student-centered civic engagement and action and ensure that activities initiated during the fellowship are continued and expanded beyond the fellowship period.

purpose

  • Sustainability: Provides a structure for the ongoing implementation of the Fellowship initiative, allowing the project to evolve and adapt as needed.
  • Building Community: Serves as a gathering place for students, faculty, and external stakeholders interested in solving local and national issues. The club fosters partnerships and encourages dialogue.
  • Student Leadership: Provides opportunities for students to develop leadership, project management, and communication skills while planning and executing civic engagement projects.
  • Collaboration: Civic clubs connect with other universities and organizations to maximize impact through shared learning, resources, and efforts.
  • Long-term impact: Civic clubs ensure that solutions developed during the fellowship do not end with the program but continue to grow and create sustainable change at the local level.
