Postdoctoral Researcher in Bacteria Interactions: Lund University is seeking a dedicated postdoctoral researcher to join the group for molecular enzymology at the Biomedical Center (BMC) to explore molecular mechanisms of antiphage defense. This full-time, temporary position, starting on December 15, 2024, or as agreed, is part of the AMBER EU cofund research project and offers an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge scientific facilities in Scandinavia and Europe.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, structural biology, or a related field.
- Maximum of 8 years post-PhD experience.
- At least one original publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g., molecular cloning, immunoblotting).
- Competence in phage microbiology, biochemistry, and/or structural biology (cryo-EM or structural bioinformatics).
- Compliance with the MSCA mobility rule (not resided or worked in Sweden for more than 12 months in the last 3 years).
Job Description:
- Conduct research on novel antiphage defense systems using bioinformatics, microbiological assays, and molecular characterization.
- Potentially engage in teaching activities (up to 20% of working time).
- Participate in university pedagogical training.
- Collaborate with co-PIs and utilize state-of-the-art facilities.
- Engage in clinical and biomedical projects, technique development, and data analysis.
- Contribute to the AMBER project goals and collaborate with European research partners.
