Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Colorado: The Satellite Navigation and Sensing (SeNSe) Laboratory at the University of Colorado Boulder seeks a postdoctoral fellow to work with a team of researchers with diverse engineering and scientific backgrounds. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation global navigation satellite systems and radio-based sensor technologies for navigation and remote sensing applications.

Designation: Postdoctoral Fellow

Research area: Study of atmospheric and ionospheric properties

Location: Boulder, Colorado

Authorization/Qualification: Completed doctorate in Electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, space science, physics or a related field before the start date. Knowledge of radios, space physics, machine learning, coding in Matlab and/or Python and good communication skills are required. Background in radio wave propagation, atmospheric effects, experience in signal processing and data analysis are desired.

Job description: The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and improving algorithms and software to derive scientific information about atmospheric and ionospheric properties to enable environmental and climate change studies. This role involves working with a group of research assistants, postdocs, and graduate students in the SeNSe Laboratory and the Department of Aerospace Engineering, and contributes to the broader space science and remote sensing research and education community in Boulder, Colorado. The candidate will work on developing next-generation global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers and other radio-based sensor technologies to provide robust navigation and remote sensing capabilities.
