Postdoctoral Research Fellowships: The Scuola Superiore Meridionale (SSM) invites applications for 40 postdoctoral research fellowships in various research programs.

• Texts, Traditions and Book Cultures (TTCL)

Location: Naples, Italy

Eligibility/Qualification: Applicants must hold a doctoral degree awarded no later than 23 January 2025. Knowledge of English and ideally a second or third language is required. Applicants must also submit a research project relevant to the chosen research programme.

Job description: The fellows will mainly conduct research at the SSM in Naples and will have access to all SSM research facilities. They will also teach courses and supervise up to 50 hours per year of Bachelor and/or Master students at the SSM.

Salary and benefits:

• The salary is 35,000 euros gross per year.
• Each fellow receives an annual grant of approximately 4,000 euros for research-related expenses.

Term of office: The fellowship program begins in winter 2025. Positions are for one year and may be renewed up to two times subject to satisfactory performance and continued funding.
