Eligibility/Qualification:
- Background in bioengineering, biology, physiology, or related fields
- Experience with advanced in vitro models, epithelial and/or endothelial transport, and organoid culture
- Proficiency in microfluidics, optical microscopy, and biochemical assays preferred
- In-depth knowledge of kidney physiology and pathophysiology
- Strong communication skills and proactive work attitude
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Ability to work in a collaborative international environment
Job Description: The Postdoc will develop novel cell-culture platforms and tissue models to mimic the kidney microenvironment. Responsibilities include culturing stem-cell-derived renal cells to create a renal tubular unit, characterizing the functional properties of the model, and collaborating with engineers and biologists from ETH Zurich and Novartis AG.
