This position is funded by the ANR T-ERC and aims to uncover the transcriptional mechanisms regulating the reemergence of pluripotency programs and cranial neural crest cell (CNCC) reprogramming during development.

Post-Doc position in the field of cell plasticity and reprogramming

Designation:
Postdoctoral Fellow

Research area:
Cell plasticity, reprogramming, cranial neural crest cells (CNCC), single-cell multi-omics, embryonic stem cell differentiation

Institut Cochin (U1016 / UMR8104), Bitiment Faculty, 5th floor, 24 rue du Faubourg Saint Jacques, 75014 Paris, France

Eligibility/Qualification:
Candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • A PhD in a relevant field with extensive knowledge of neural crest development and/or embryonic stem cell differentiation protocols.
  • Experience with sequencing methods or data analysis is highly desirable.
  • A strong interest in developmental biology, transcriptional regulation and pluripotency programs.

Job description:
The postdoctoral fellow will:

  • Conduct studies combining single-cell multi-omics screens and in vitro functional assays to identify transcription factors and signaling pathways that control CNCC reprogramming.
  • Determine the levels and time points of Oct4 re-expression required for CNCC reprogramming using established in vitro differentiation protocols.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary biomedical research center that offers state-of-the-art facilities, technical support and conceptual expertise to support the successful completion of the project.

How to apply:
Interested applicants should submit the following documents:

  • A cover letter detailing your research interests and qualifications.
