Study area

The scope of study includes research on greenhouse gas emissions and soil carbon sequestration related to agricultural practices in rice cultivation, including field measurements, laboratory analyses and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Description of the scholarship

The selected researcher will:

  • Participate in field and laboratory experiments on greenhouse gas fluxes and soil samples.
  • Conduct literature searches, data collection and statistical analyses.
  • Contribute to scientific articles and reports.
  • Participate in teamwork within the Marine and Continental Waters Program.

Eligibility

  • Ph.D. in Biology, agriculture, soil science or related fields.
  • Familiarity with greenhouse gas and soil carbon sequestration in agricultural systems.
  • Proven research skills, including experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Good knowledge of English, knowledge of Catalan and Spanish is an advantage.
