Postdoctoral Fellow in Gastroenterology Research, University

Postdoctoral fellow in gastroenterological research: The Wu Lab at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School is seeking a dedicated and motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our team. The lab focuses on innovative approaches to improving cancer treatment, specifically studying metabolism, epigenetics, and immune evasion in gastrointestinal (GI) cancers.

Research area: Gastroenterology – Cancer Biology and Immunology

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts

Eligibility/Qualification:

• Ph.D. in Life sciences, molecular biology, biochemistry or a related discipline
• At least three years of research experience in relevant areas such as molecular biology, RNA biology, biochemistry, animal modeling, immunology, cancer biology or epigenetics
• Knowledge of molecular biology techniques, including qPCR, cloning and Western blotting
• Background in immunology and/or epigenetics highly desirable

Job description:

• Conducting research on metabolism, epigenetics and immune escape in GI cancer
• Use mouse models, cellular immunology, CRISPR-based genomics, histology, immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry
• Working on the development of new therapeutic strategies
• Independent coordination of multiple projects with excellent communication skills
