Postdoc position in particle physics: An exciting postdoc opportunity is available at IP2I in Lyon, France, in the CMS group at the CERN LHC. The candidate will mainly contribute to the study of the HH→ bb𝛾𝛾 channel as part of the Higgs sector and will additionally be involved in tracking studies for the FCC project at CERN.

• Designation: Postdoctoral fellow (24 months)
• Research area: Particle physics, collider data analysis, Higgs sector, Future Tracker simulation, FCC project at CERN.
• Location: Lyon, France
• Eligibility/Qualification: The ideal candidate must have a PhD in particle physics with a maximum of 3 years of professional experience after completion of the dissertation. Solid expertise in collider data analysis, HEP software tools and common programming languages ​​is required. Fluent English is essential and previous experience in instrumentation would be desirable.
• Job description: The selected candidate will play a key role in CMS data analysis in the Higgs sector and contribute to the development of full simulations for future trackers within the FCC accelerator project at CERN. He will be mainly involved in the study of the HH→bb𝛾𝛾 channel as well as tracking studies for the FCC project at CERN. In addition, he will work with the IP2I group to complete the analysis using the full data sample from Run 3 and prepare the final publication.
