Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, invites suitable and interested candidates to apply for the post of Research Associate at BHU.

Um- Banaras Hindu University, formerly Central Hindu College, is a central public university in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It was founded in 1916 jointly by the Maharaja of Darbhanga Rameshwar Singh, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Sir Sunder Lal and the British theosophist and founder of the Home Rule League Annie Besant.

Authorization/Qualification –

The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in synthetic organic chemistry and have at least two published papers in QI or Q2 journals. Candidates with research experience in photoredox catalysis will be preferred. All things being equal, preference will be given to SC/ST candidates as per GOI rules. Upper age limit will be as per University rules (may be relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates/candidates with physical disabilities and women).

Job description-

Applications are invited for one (one) post of Raja Jwala Prasad Post-Doctoral Fellowship under LoE scheme, valid up to 26 July 2024 from the date of joining of the Fellow. The RJP-PDF will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs. 60,000/month plus HRA (Rs. 10,000/month) and a reserve of Rs. 50,000/year (pro rata). The post is purely temporary.
