Award Information

• Polar Knowledge Canada (POLAR) sponsors the POLAR Northern Resident Award each year, valued at $5,000.

Qualification criteria

• Applicants must:
  • You are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
  • At the time of application, you must have resided in Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Yukon Territory or Inuit Nunangaat Territory (hereinafter referred to as Northern Resident) for at least three years.
  • You must be enrolled (full or part-time) in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university at the time of application and during the award period.
  • Participate in Arctic or Arctic research resulting in papers, publications or similar outputs.
  • Demonstrates dedication to polar research.
