Enterprise developers across your organization need seamless access to consume APIs from the Azure API Center. Not all enterprise developers in your organization have full access to the Azure API Center, such as access to add new APIs to the API Center. However, all enterprise developers need access to view API definitions, export API specification documents, and create API clients. Platform API Catalog Enterprise developers across your organization can seamlessly access APIs using the Visual Studio Code extension for Azure API Center. This drives discovery, use, and reuse of APIs across the enterprise. Using the Platform API Catalog, developers can search for APIs in the Azure API Center, view API definitions, manage the API Center itself, or optionally create API clients when they do not have access to add APIs to their inventory. . Access to the platform API catalog is managed using Microsoft Entra identity and Azure role-based access control. The Platform API Catalog helps enterprise developers discover API details and start developing API clients.
