Eligibility/Qualification:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, mathematics or related fields
• Interest in biomechanics and modelling
• Willingness to work in an interdisciplinary manner

Job description:
As a doctoral student you are involved in:

• Development of multiscale computer models of human vascular smooth muscle cells
• Integration of vascular smooth muscle cell models into a vascular wall model
• Conducting ex vivo and in vivo studies on human tissue biomechanics
• Development of strategies for model parameterization using clinically measurable data
• Collaboration with scientists, engineers and physicians
