Eligibility/Qualification:
Candidates should have a Master’s degree in Applied mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering or a closely related field. Strong programming skills in deep learning and scientific computing (e.g. Python, NumPy, PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) are essential. Other qualifications include:

  • Solid knowledge of computational imaging, image restoration, variational methods in imaging, and Bayesian methods for inverse problems.
  • Good knowledge of English or French (written and oral).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job description:
The selected PhD student will engage in advanced research to improve current blind image and video deblurring methods. The project will include research into diffusion models, latent spatial acceleration, spatially varying blur, and joint blur prediction/deblurring architectures. The research will also include the development of self-supervised training methods to improve model performance under diverse and challenging conditions. The candidate will work with an international team and contribute to both academic and industrial advances in image restoration technologies.
