Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Completed or almost completed MSc degree in Life sciences or related fields
  • Strong interest in microbiome research, evolutionary biology and data science
  • Knowledge of programming (e.g. R or Python) is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and collaboration
  • Experience in analyzing genomic data is welcome

Job description:

  • Investigating the eco-evolutionary processes that shape the infant microbiome
  • Analyze data from the Amsterdam Infant Microbiome Study (AIMS) cohort.
  • Collaborate with researchers in the MetaHealth consortium
  • Develop and implement computer models in collaboration with the Computational Science Lab (CSL).
  • Presentation of research results at (international) conferences
