Ph.D. Fellowship in Biomedical Engineering and Geomatics

Designation: Student Assistant

Research area: Digital Health, Health Informatics and Artificial Intelligence

Location: University of Calgary

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s and MASc degrees in biomedical engineering, geomatics or related fields.
  • Research experience in applying machine learning to sensor data analysis.
  • Experience with analyzing acceleration and GPS data is an advantage.
  • An extensive track record of academic publications is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to advance research projects independently.
  • At least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale in the last two years of full-time study.
  • Must meet the admission requirements for the desired academic program (Ph.D. in Geomatics Engineering or Biomedical Engineering).

Job description: As a research assistant in a Ph.D. program, you will conduct advanced research in the areas of digital health, health informatics, and artificial intelligence under the supervision of experienced faculty members. Your responsibilities will include collaborating on research projects, analyzing sensor data using machine learning techniques, publishing academic papers, and conducting research initiatives independently.
