OneNote using Stream on SharePoint

Hello, Microsoft 365 Insiders! I’m Daniel Beade, a Product Manager on the OneNote team. I’m excited to announce that you can now preview videos from Stream (from SharePoint) in OneNote.

OneNote now supports the new Stream (from SharePoint).

We’ve improved your video experience by allowing you to play Stream (from SharePoint) videos directly within OneNote. No more switching to another application. This seamless integration lets you focus on your notes and stay productive without distractions.

How it works

Playing Stream (from SharePoint) videos in OneNote doesn’t require any special configuration.

1. Copy and paste the URL Streaming from SharePoint video.
2. Play a video in the OneNote app.

This feature is rolling out to Insiders running Version 2306 (Build 16701.10000) or later.

memo: This feature is currently only available in OneNote for Windows. It is not available in OneNote for Windows 10.

Features are released over time to ensure everything works smoothly. They are released slowly to a larger number of Insiders, highlighting features you may not have. Sometimes we remove elements based on your feedback to make them even better. This is rare, but we also have the option to completely remove a feature from the product, even if you, as an Insider, had the opportunity to try it out.
