These capabilities will help you track Copilot adoption trends, estimate impact, interpret results, delegate access to others for greater visibility, and more effectively query Copilot support hours. We’re releasing four new capabilities this month: Microsoft Copilot Dashboard Updates: Trend line Pilot Value Calculator Metric guidelines for comparison Delegated access to the Copilot dashboard We’ve also expanded the availability of Microsoft Copilot Dashboard. As recently announced, Microsoft Copilot Dashboard is now part of the Copilot for Microsoft 365 license and no longer requires a Viva Insights Premium license. The rollout of Microsoft Copilot Dashboard to Copilot for Microsoft 365 customers began in July. Customers with 50 or more Copilot for Microsoft 365 licenses assigned or 10 or more Premium Viva Insights licenses assigned will see the Copilot dashboard.Customers with fewer than 50 Copilot for Microsoft 365 licenses assigned will continue to have access to a limited Copilot dashboard that includes tenant-level metrics. Let’s take a closer look at four new features in the Copilot dashboard and updates to advanced reporting options in Viva Insights. Trendline function Enhance your insights with the new trendlines feature. Easily track your company’s Copilot adoption trends over the last 6 months. View overall adoption metrics, such as the number of employees with Copilot licenses and the number of active users. See the impact of Copilot over time. See how much time Copilot has saved, how many emails have been sent with Copilot, and how many meetings have been summarized. Stay ahead with trendlines and see how Copilot usage in your organization changes over time. For a detailed view of Copilot usage in the app and the impact of Copilot across your group for periods longer than 28 days, use the Viva Insights Analyst Workbench (requires a premium Viva Insights license). Learn more here. Pilot Value Calculator Customize and estimate the value of Copilot in your organization. This feature estimates the impact of Copilot over a given period by multiplying the Copilot support hours by the average hourly wage. By default, this rate is set to $72 based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. You can customize it to get a personalized view by updating and saving the average hourly wage and currency settings. Metric guidelines for comparison Learn about research-based metrics guidelines when comparing different groups of Copilot users (e.g., Copilot active users and Copilot non-users). These guidelines are based on our comprehensive research. E-book Helps users interpret changes in meeting, email, and chat metrics. For best results, compare two similar groups, such as employees with similar job functions or job titles. Delegated access to the Copilot dashboard Leaders can now delegate access to the Microsoft Copilot dashboard to others in the company to improve visibility and efficiency. Designated delegates, such as the leader’s chief of staff or direct reports, can view Copilot dashboard insights and use them to make data-driven decisions. Digging deeper with Viva Insights – Copilot-enabled time metrics in Analyst Workbench For customers who want a more advanced, customizable Copilot reporting experience: Viva Insight Available with a premium Viva Insights license. Viva Insights allows customers to create custom views and reports, view longer data sets on Copilot usage, compare usage with third-party data, and customize definitions of active Copilot users and other metrics. The Copilot Support Hours metric, introduced in the Microsoft Copilot dashboard, is now also queryable in the Viva Insights Analyst Workbench. When running a People query and adding a new metric, Viva Insights analysts will find this metric in the “Microsoft 365 Copilot” metric category. This metric is calculated based on the employee’s actions in Copilot and a multiplier derived from: Microsoft’s study of Copilot users.
