-Can a cloud PC on Windows 365 safely run your most demanding workloads? Well, if you’re new to Windows 365, you can securely stream your Windows experience and access personalized apps, content, and settings from the Microsoft cloud to literally any device.

– And now, Windows 365 Cloud PCs can enable GPUs using the most powerful accelerators in the cloud today. Here we see a previous-generation MacBook Air, and with Cloud PCs, you can bypass all device compute limitations to deliver a GPU-powered Windows 365 experience that runs the most compute-intensive graphic design applications, high-end video editing and rendering, and even sophisticated 3D modeling.

– In fact, cloud PCs can now run even the most demanding workloads. You can see industrial digital twin use cases on GPU-enabled cloud PCs, which would normally have to run on powerful physical PCs, and you can see textures, shadows, and materials all rendered in real time.

-And if you choose the most powerful GPU option, you can also take advantage of the latest on-device generated AI experiences and machine learning models, such as the Small Language Model PHI 3 Mini, which runs in offline mode and generates responses based on open-world training. This opens up new possibilities for data scientists and developers. And because the cloud PC is connected to the Microsoft cloud’s ultra-fast network backbone, data transfers are fast and latency is low.

-Here, we are running the Speedtest app on a cloud PC, and in this case, both the download and upload speeds are significantly higher than the average broadband speed of a home or office network. This makes it ideal for large file transfers, as you get the benefit of minimal latency and speed regardless of local network limitations. And by default, each cloud PC with GPU enabled is configured with a stateless temporary disk for caching within the local session for faster read and write speeds and lower latency.

– There are now a few different Windows 365 GPUs to choose from. The options are Standard, Super, and Max, with a few key differences. Standard is similar to a PC with entry-level discrete graphics. It uses a shared GPU and is optimized for basic graphics acceleration, supporting a 4K display or two 1080p displays. It includes a minimum of 4 vCPUs, 16GB of RAM, 8GB of video RAM, and 512GB of storage.

– Then the Super takes performance to a level more similar to a PC with a mid-tier graphics card. It also supports up to four 4K connected displays using a shared GPU, and has a minimum of eight vCPUs, 56GB of RAM, 12GB of video RAM, and 1TB of storage. Then the Max takes it to the next level, offering a fully dedicated GPU for the most demanding needs.

– Increases specs to at least 16 vCPUs, 110 GB RAM, 16 GB video RAM, and 1 TB of storage. Also, a new Windows 365 option is available for shared usage scenarios using GPU-enabled cloud PCs. This allows you to share a GPU-enabled cloud PC with up to three users, accessing them one at a time as needed, helping you optimize costs while leveraging resources.

– The important thing is that data is kept separate from the devices interacting with the cloud PC, and device integrations such as printing to local printers, file transfers, webcam and microphone pass-through support, and copy and paste to the local clipboard can be individually enabled and controlled by users based on administrator policies.

– Also, new watermark support in Windows 365 helps protect your visual assets from people taking screen shots, using display capture cards with QR codes, or using screen recording software to point to your source Cloud PC. For device managers, Windows 365 management is integrated into Microsoft Intune, so you can manage it from the same place you manage your physical devices, without the need for traditional VDI technology.

– Centrally monitor your entire Cloud PC fleet from Intune, and of course have full policy configuration control over security and compliance settings for your managed Cloud PCs. The Intune Admin Center provides key metrics and trends for your end-user experience, making it easy to diagnose and resolve any issues.
