Can you tell us more about Microsoft Backyard and Microsoft NextGen Heroes?

Microsoft Backyard and Microsoft NextGen Heroes are two interesting programs developed under the name Microsoft Zero To Hero. Microsoft Backyard It’s unique because it’s not a technical session. Instead, it focuses on personal stories from Microsoft employees, regional directors (RDs), and most valuable professionals (MVPs). We dive deep into their success stories, the lessons they’ve learned, and even the challenges they’ve faced. The feedback since the first episode has been amazing. People from all over the world have told us how much they enjoy hearing about these personal journeys.

on the other side, Microsoft NextGen Heroes A program very close to my heart. Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors(Student Ambassador) and individuals new to the Microsoft world. The idea was born from the tremendous energy and talent we saw in the Student Ambassador community. We wanted to provide a platform for these young leaders to share their experiences and knowledge. The first live session was a huge success with 70 registrants and a live audience of nearly 60, and the feedback we received was truly encouraging.

We are very proud to have three student ambassadors leading this program. niklas olson, Bozan Ivanovskyand Marco Atanasov.

What is the purpose of the Microsoft NextGen Heroes program?

The primary purpose of Microsoft NextGen Heroes is to empower the next generation of leaders within the Microsoft community. We want to create a space where young individuals, especially those just starting out in their careers, can connect, share experiences, and learn from each other. The program fosters a sense of community and belonging that encourages and celebrates new voices.

How does this program differ from other Microsoft initiatives, such as Student Ambassadors or Zero To Hero Communities?

Good question! While both Student Ambassadors and Microsoft Zero To Hero are about learning and growing, Microsoft NextGen Heroes takes a slightly different approach. The Student Ambassadors program is designed to recognize and support students who are passionate about technology and community leadership. Microsoft Zero To Hero is broader, focusing on inspiring individuals at every stage of their journey within the Microsoft ecosystem.

However, NextGen Heroes is specifically tailored for those who are new to the Microsoft world or are early in their careers. It focuses more on peer learning and leadership development. We want to provide new members of the community with a platform to shine, share experiences, and learn from each other in a supportive environment.
