I’m Tanvi Sharma, a Product Manager on the Loop team. I’m excited to announce that you can now set custom in-app notifications for updates to Loop tables and table templates! Custom in-app notifications for Loop table updates Earlier this year we enabled process automation for Loop tables. Many of you have embraced this new feature and encouraged us to innovate further in this area. Initially, these rules could generate emails via Outlook or send messages to specified recipients in Teams. This was all thanks to the integration between Loop and Power Automate. However, this required an active Power Automate license. As part of our efforts to enrich this feature and make it available to all users, we’re excited to announce that you can now enable in-app notifications to keep your team updated, even without a Power Automate license. Configuring custom in-app notifications allows you to: Automate your workflow and say goodbye to repetitive updates. Keep stakeholders updated in real time (pun intended 😉 Streamline your processes to be more efficient than ever before. How it works Open existing microsoft loop A page containing a loop table or loop board. In the task bar just above the component … Select the menu and then select rule. Define the triggers and conditions you want to use, then select them. Notification in loop By action. Add recipients and then select check. How to set up custom in-app notifications for Loop table updates Once the rule is saved and the trigger and conditions are met, the selected set of recipients will receive a loop notification!! Scenarios to try As a project manager, you set up automation rules so that you are notified within the Loop itself when a task is marked as complete.
