We are pleased to announce that we are on the front lines. The Office Hours feature is now generally available.! This feature allows administrators to block or warn frontline employees accessing Microsoft Teams while off-duty. This feature can be combined with: quiet time Policy to suppress notifications during non-working hours.

why we made this

This feature is designed for frontline workers who access Microsoft Teams from personal or company-provided dedicated devices. If you are concerned about the following scenarios, you should consider using office hours:

  • I’m concerned about frontline employees asking for pay outside of working hours if they access work apps.
  • Local laws and regulations may require employees to restrict access to work apps during off-hours.

next steps

To get started, review our governing documents.
