Latest advancements in Premium SSD v2 and Ultra Azure Managed Disks

We are excited to share the latest advancements in (Pv2) and next-generation Azure disk storage. We have improved the backup and disaster recovery experience for Pv2 and Ultra disks to make it easier to protect your workloads. We have also improved the security measures for virtual machines (VMs) equipped with Pv2 and Ultra.

Pv2 and Ultra disks deliver high throughput, high IOPS, and low latency for a wide range of scenarios, from I/O-intensive workloads like SAP HANA (SAP High-performance Analytic Appliance) to general-purpose applications across relational database management systems (RDBMS), SQL, and NoSQL databases. Pv2 offers an excellent balance of price and performance. According to a, it offers up to 23% better price-performance than competing clouds, while Ultra delivers the best performance with sub-millisecond latency.
