Large, Multi-Tenant Organizations find value with cross-tenant communications support in Viva Engage by info.odysseyx@gmail.com September 5, 2024 written by info.odysseyx@gmail.com September 5, 2024 0 comment 2 views 2 Modern organizations are complex and often span multiple tenants. Previously, Viva Engage started supporting Storyline For multi-tenant organizations (Overtime income), and we’re excited to announce that communities and campaigns are now supported across Viva Engage tenants. One of the key themes in our customer feedback is the need for ‘seamless access to content’ across tenant boundaries. Whether it’s a leadership storyline announcement or a new feature for the ‘global’ community, Viva Engage uniquely supports the ability to seamlessly communicate and collaborate with colleagues across traditional tenant silos. The MTO Community has recently launched, with one of our key customers, Associated British Foods plc, creating a Viva Engage MTO pilot across 14 tenants, initially enabling over 400 global users to better connect their procurement functions, improving business collaboration and connectivity. After evaluating multiple vendors, Engage was chosen for its ability to provide single sign-on across tenants, improved leadership engagement, campaign management and tight integration with the Microsoft suite of products. The procurement function aimed to create a centralized platform that would enhance collaboration across global teams and facilitate seamless connectivity, communication, knowledge sharing, and effective teamwork. ABF’s distributed structure features multiple tenants, so the procurement function needed a tool that could seamlessly connect colleagues around the world. We leveraged Viva Engage Multi-Tenant capabilities to enable procurement colleagues to collaborate, join communities, and engage with leaders, all within their existing work environments. The platform, called “Ignite Procurement,” was launched at the ABF Procurement Conference in June. While centrally procuring Viva Employee Communications and Communities licenses was challenging, the integration has significantly supported day-to-day interactions, as each business unit had to procure its own licenses. This has led to a stronger sense of community, increased cross-business interaction, and made ABF Procurement a more connected workplace. Other business units within ABF are looking to leverage MTO capabilities to enhance global collaboration across multiple locations and teams.. – Otonye Archibong (IT Project Manager) The most important challenge for us was to implement a solution that could provide a single sign-on across multiple tenants. This was critical to our business as other solutions failed because they required additional steps to log in using different accounts or switch networks. We also provide different user experiences between teams depending on the tenant, so using MTO to seamlessly integrate all of our businesses was a great solution to this challenge. New projects require global collaboration, so we are now looking to extend this to other tools such as Teams. – Adrian Knight (Solution Architect) Viva Engage MTO Core Principles: Seamless collaboration – Empower leaders and employees to easily connect, communicate, and collaborate across all tenant boundaries. Equality – All employees are treated equally throughout all MTO experiences, including Community, Leadership Corner, and events. Measurable value – Empower Leaders & Corp Comms can measure value across tenant boundaries through analytics. Simplified configuration – Simplifies administrator configuration to easily enable, manage, and change MTO features. Since the initial launch of Viva Engage MTO and subsequent feature additions, several themes have emerged: “It just works!”, “No network switches needed!” and “No more external networks needed!” These scenarios are guidance provided by the team as part of our efforts to deliver value to our customers by expanding the scope of cross-tenant communication and collaboration. The team is not done yet and is working on providing additional features that customers want, including: Ask Me Anything (AMA) for MTO [Now in Preview with customers]: This feature allows leaders to have asynchronous conversations with employees across tenant boundaries, helping them understand what their concerns are and what key questions they are seeking input on across larger organizations. We will continue to provide additional features for MTO customers. Let’s take a look at what we are building. MTO support for all corporate communities [Coming soon]: Having MTO Community Support means you can address one of your most important customer requests and have access to the ‘whole company’ community across all tenants. Live events in the MTO community [Coming soon]: Live events hosted by the MTO Community are seamlessly accessible to all members of the community and tenants as a whole.
