The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking for a highly talented and energetic, self-motivated student with the ability to resolve events, incidents and support issues, who is a team player and can escalate issues to other specialized teams and partners. Intern in the IT student field.

The position:

The IT student intern will support the regional IT representative.

Main tasks:

  • Technical support for users and computers.
  • Technical support for conferences and meetings.
  • Inventory update for equipment and services in Africa and Asia.
  • Involvement of staff in the AD self-service system.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Selection criteria

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent at a recognized university in Kenya.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Office 365 operating system support.
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework.
  • Support for Windows users and network infrastructure, Office 365 services, web conferencing
  • Good English and communication skills.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Should have a flexible study plan.

What are the conditions?

The position is an internship position reserved exclusively for Kenyan nationals and permanent residents. The internship lasts 6 months.
