We love talking to IT professionals. In fact, we spent a few weeks in Italy and Switzerland attending events and meeting with you. Many of you have recognized the value of a “single pane of glass” for managing your devices.

This feedback has been loud and clear to Microsoft and our OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) partners. We are now announcing the integration of the Dell Management Portal, which brings more functionality to the Microsoft Intune admin center.

A brief history

A few years ago, we launched the Surface Management Portal in the Intune Admin Center. In April 2023, we announced that HP Connect will join Surface. Partner Portal A tab in the Intune Admin Center that expands the depth of functionality accessible on HP devices (read more here) What’s new mail).

Announcing new partners in the Intune Admin Center

Beginning in October, links from the Intune Admin Center to the Dell Management Portal provide streamlined access to Dell-specific Windows device management features. The Dell Management Portal provides:

  • Secure device management. Recover unique device-specific credentials, including current and previous BIOS passwords and BitLocker recovery keys.
  • Vehicle maintenance. In addition to device-specific user information, including name and contact information, we access device hardware, OS, and storage information.
  • Application management. Securely access the latest versions of selected Dell enterprise applications, upload them to Intune for deployment, and get the status of updates for those apps. Available at launch:
    • Dell Command | Monitor
    • Dell Command | Endpoint Configuration for Microsoft Intune
    • Dell Command | Update
    • Dell Support Assist for Business PCs
    • Dell Trusted Devices
  • Device report. Check for updates every 30 minutes.

When you select the Dell Admin Portal, a connection wizard will appear requesting access to the Dell Admin Portal for your tenant.
