How do we search?

For a new team, we set out to recruit an institutional account manager in Europe. The European Commission’s institutional account manager came from managing institutional funds in national programs and created a blueprint to assemble War Child Nederland’s relationships with institutional donors and relevant stakeholders in the Dutch market to conceal the funding.

We strive to be proactive and flexible, with cultural and organizational sensitivity. As European Commission Institutional Account Manager, I am responsible for War Child’s EU portfolio, including ownership of projects and overseeing donor compliance and donor relations. With other European Commission Institutional Account Managers, I have championed staying and collaborating with the European Commission, connected networks and support, effective fundraising, supporting and implementing the fund availability strategy for this donor.

Our organization

The new access to institutional funds and national programs is done through War Child Nederland. The European Commission’s institutional account manager was rapporteur to the IF&NP MEP and at the same time worked with country and regional cantors, the War Child Alliance, heads of international programs and other relevant shops.

Event calendar

• I have managed the account in a donor-compliant and high-quality manner, which has resulted in a large amount of the account being maintained;
• I analyze the latest trends and insult them within the EC and translate them to promote the organization;
• I support the contracting party of new subsidies;
• I conducted proactive acquisition of funding strategies to implement and execute them and scanned information about donors.
• I support land managers and regional administrators in deepening their relationships with relevant donors and partners in the country itself;
• I have helped to expand and enhance relationships with relevant networks, partners and affiliates;
• I helped develop and implement the financing strategy;
• I provide strategic advice on partnerships and work with my colleagues’ advocacy groups;
• I am experienced in providing advice and on the basis of internal extensions for capacity building with partners, working and collaborating on jobs, grants, reports and contracts based on EU rules and documents.

• Academic background Bachelor/Master, a background in education/international; collaboration and/or humanitarian aid is an advantage;
• At least 5 years of experience in an extended function in an international organization;
• Successful subsidy and financial support for large institutional projects;
• Ervaring met with the EC, specific EU delegates of DG ECHO is a precursor;
• Keep an eye on trends in the service sector;

• Uitstekende Mondelinge and written communication in the Engels. Frans, Arabic en/of Spanish is a great example;

What we offer

• The salary varies between €3,898 and €4,847 gross per month, based on 40 hours per week (the exact amount must be paid within the next six months for each relevant work performance);
• 8% holiday allowance based on the year;
• A working allowance for 32 – 40 hours;
